About the Band
Projecto Guanajay is composed of eight of South Florida’s elite musicians to highlight the traditional songs of Cuba while infusing the elements and influences that would naturally come from younger musicians. This high energy octet will not only remind the mature listener of the great classic songs that have surpassed the test of time, but will very flavorfully introduce the younger crowds to the traditional Havana sound. Proyecto Guanajay has made it their mission and taken the responsibility the task of maintaining tradition alive.
